My dear piano buddy and friend - we rocked the house when we performed at the Dad's Club Talent Show at Oakland High School in our senior year. We did a duet that required 2 pianos - not easily found at Tech - so we practiced downtown at Sherman & Clay. We didn't win the competition but we sure had fun! I still think of her each time I sit down to play.
Lynne was a special friend of mine. We went to school together starting in the 3rd grade at Hillcrest school. Then on to Rockridge and Miss Wobbs for 5th and 6th grade. We went to Clarement Jr. High and then to Oakland Tech. The last time that I saw Lynne was at Ron Oz's 50th Birthday party. She knew then. We hugged and we cried. I loved Lynne Peek, we had the same birthday so shared something special for many years. The world is a richer place for having had Lynne here, and now is poorer for her loss. I'll see you in the sky, honey.
