Dave and I shared a few beers together after we both got out of the service. I referred Dave to the company I was working for days and he was able to get a job and not have to go back into the Military. We lost track but I thought of him often.
I grew up in San Francisco. My family moved to Oakland where I attended Claremont Junior High. It was there, in eighth grade, that I met David. He was always kind to me, almost my protector and advisor as a new student. I will always remember David as a kind soul and friend.
